The storyline follows a supervillain team going by the name "the World-Takeover-ers" as they attempt to take over the world, except (a) they are incompetent, and (b) by the time the team makes their debut, the world is now crawling around with sentient objects, superpowers, man-eating monsters, and eldritch abominations. Sure does make taking over the world a lot more challenging huh.
Content warning: Violence, gore, body horror, drugs, and various brands of horror... Assume any bad thing other than $ex-related things will happen somewhere in there.

(Self-proclaimed) ALIEN SPACE GENERAL, founder and leader of the World-Takeover-ers, and the future EVIL OVERLORD of Planet Earth. (That is, if he can overcome his own crippling incompetence first.)

Within the secluded universe of Earth-256-B, humanity has (surprisingly) persisted, despite the odds, into the far-flung future of the late 2990s. However, not all is well. Ville-de-Nouvelle-Yorke has been experiencing a severe increase in superpowered crime and self-proclaimed superheroes supposed to protect the city only care if it increases their fame! A guy named Virgil Voltspun gets bitten by a spider as a preteen and gains superpowers, so he decides to step in. However, he gets a lot more than he bargained for.

A grouchy thirty-something that got bitten by a spider when he was twelve, gained superpowers from it, and immediately decided it would be a FANTASTIC idea to save people and beat up criminals for a living! He could finally put his extreme hyperfixations surrounding supers in general to good use and he could be like his role models: the Avengers! Years later, he's emotionally constipated and regretting his life decisions trying to balance school, work, bills, being a vigilante, mending his nonexistent social life, the list goes on and on.
